A new study by researchers at Uppsala University and Uppsala University Hospital shows that men who have a neurodevelopmental disorder, such as autism and ADHD, also have a slightly increased risk of testicular cancer, or seminoma. Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in young men, and its underlying causes are still largely unknown. The new study focused on patients with testicular cancer in Sweden. A total of 6,166 patients were included and then compared with 61,660 age-matched men without testicular cancer. Medical register data was used to investigate whether psychiatric diagnoses prior to cancer diagnosis were more common in patients with testicular cancer than in the control group. In general, the researchers did not find an increased risk of testicular cancer in patients with a psychiatric diagnosis, but the group with a neurodevelopmental disorder in particular saw a significant increase in the risk of the seminoma type of testicular cancer. Bengaluru : China's Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd  has withdrawn plans to sell stake in Indian drugmaker Gland Pharma Ltd , ET Now tweeted on Wednesday, citing sources. Fosun Pharma holds a 57.86% stake in the Indian company. Both Fosun Pharma and Gland Pharma did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment. Mumbai: Shiv Sena Uddhav faction leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has alleged that Maharashtra minister Gulabrao Patil was involved in a scam of Rs 400 crore in the procurement of medical equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Raut has alleged that he has evidence that Patil had procured medical equipment above the market price. Delhi: Dental Council of India (DCI) has urged dental colleges across India to conduct an anti-ragging orientation program/workshop for 2023, awareness about ragging amongst students, including both seniors and freshers. The colleges are directed to conduct an orientation program/workshop at their premises at the beginning of the BDS Course by inviting /calling any one member of the Dental Council of India from their state or neighbouring states (if not available in their state) for periodic training of the members of the anti-ragging cells/committees/squads of dental colleges and for awareness about ragging amongst students (freshers and seniors) within 15 days positively. The  meal detection technology provides automatic adjustments and corrections† to sugar levels every 5 minutes§ for both basal (background) and bolus (mealtime) insulin needs.
